EA has confirmed that it is transitioning servers so that some games will remain playable after GameSpy's multiplayer services shut down after May 31.
Though the company didn't announce a complete line-up or promise that every game will make the transition, it did commit to three Battlefield games in particular: Battlefield 2, Bad Company 2, and Battlefield 2142.

Jop, wenn es soweit kommt gibt es bereits Ansätze alternative Loginserver bereitzustellen. Das hätte zwar einige Einbußen zwecks Bans, Keys etc. also speziell im Hinblick auf bekannte Cheater, aber spielbar bliebe PR glücklicherweise wohl trotzdem noch.
